I have larger hands and most the pattern knifes (half head) I have tried are pretty small. This is a big knife and I love it. The handle is also curved on the butt which makes it feel comfortable while making long accurate cuts. It’s wicked sharp right out of the box.
The IBEX full head knife is a bit too small for my hands. So check that one out if you want a smaller knife. It’s beautiful and seems to cut well. I will likely give that one to my wife she seemed to like it. I can see why. The weight and balance of it are amazing and it’s the perfect shape. It did a great job on long slices, nibbles and skiving.

I love this knife! It becomes a different knife with each different grip and different part of the blade you use. Push, pull, rocking cuts are all possible and very easy. Very thin to give a good cutting geometry and it seems to have a great heat treatment as it only ever needs light stropping in my experience. As a knife guy, a leather guy, and a guy who’s played with a forge a few times this knife is amazing on all fronts!
